The Penfield Dura Dissector offers multiple surgical advantages. Its principal use is to offer an atraumatic and reliable way to dissect fibrous tissues and scrape bone structures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a double-ended design for performing several functions. In addition, there are five patterns of this dissector, including a single-ended design with a sharp spatula for detaching the dura.
Moreover, other patterns include blunt scoops for scraping tissues and oval sharp blades for dura separation. Furthermore, the Penfield Dura Dissector features a solid handle that ensures excellent gripping.
