The Richardson Retractor offers multiple benefits that surgeons can use to explore cavities during surgery.
Firstly, the retractor has a crescent-shaped blade with a slight terminal curvature. This feature ensures an atraumatic blade insertion and grants deep retractions.
Secondly, the retractor has a wide neck with a flat design for sliding over the skin. As a result, surgeons can pull back tissues while preventing fatigue.
Thirdly, the tool comes with an ergonomic handle. The handle is hollow and has and outline for inserting four fingers, thereby reducing the risk of slippage.
