SURTEX® Hartmann Ear Catheter is a tube that assists doctors to treat ear and nose diseases. For example, they use the catheter to give drugs in ear infections. In addition, they can remove foreign bodies from the nose.
For these purposes, we added a distal curve to the catheter to suit anatomical curvatures. In addition, the tube is 15 cm long to allow deep access.
Furthermore, the ring on the proximal end indicates the direction of the tip of the catheter. This guides your movements to reduce ear injury.
Previously, doctors used the catheter to test the opening between the middle ear and the nose. However, this carried the risk of ear damage and syncope. Doctors today do not advise using the catheter in this test.
SURTEX® Instruments manufacture Hartmann ear catheters from surgical stainless steel to provide long-term service.
