The SURTEX® Killian Nasal Speculum assists surgeons to examine and treat diseases in the nose, like bleeding. Therefore, the instrument helps remove foreign bodies in the nose cavity or place packs to stop the blood. During the exam, you can also take a biopsy to detect tumors or infections.
Doctors place the speculum to widen the nares as they look at the nasal walls. Therefore, we designed its grip handles with a long profile to give dexterity and control. Moreover, the handles have outer serrations to enhance your hold.
You can start by placing the closed cone blades in the nares. Then, use the handles to open them slowly. We made the retracting edges of the blades with a blunt outline to prevent tissue injury. In addition, the two blades have a large cone so you can view the nasal cavity clearly.
For your convenience, we designed a range of the SURTEX® Killian Nasal Speculum to suit your surgical approaches. The devices have blade sizes from 35 to 85 mm to fit the needs of different patient groups. Furthermore, the shafts are 13 cm long so you can see the blades directly.
SURTEX® Instruments manufacture surgical devices from premium grade stainless steel that you can depend on for years of fine service.
