The Feilchenfeld Splinter Forcep offers a wide range of advantages during surgery. Its principal use is to manipulate and extract debris and foreign bodies from the operating site.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of narrowed tips that easily traverse tight passages and spaces. In addition, the inner surfaces of the tips have vertical grooves that enhance the clamping action. As a result, the device helps to prevent the risk of slipping the grasped objects.
Moreover, the Feilchenfeld Splinter Forcep features an ergonomically designed spring handle. Surgeons can push the handle’s stems to face the tips against each other with controlled pressure.
