The Wertheim Hysterectomy Forcep offers a variety of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to excise the uterus from the pelvic cavity.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of long, curved jaws that conform to the anatomy of the pelvis. In addition, the inner surfaces of the jaws have transverse serrations, which enhance gripping and prevent local trauma.
Moreover, the Wertheim Hysterectomy Forcep features elongated shafts for deep surgical reaching. Also, the boxlock system helps to face the jaws against each other with smooth joint movements.
