The Littauer Cilia Forcep offers a wide range of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to hold cilia and pull them away with delicate motion during blepharoplasty.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of smooth-surfaced tips with a trapezoid shape to clamp cilia with ease. After that, surgeons can pull back the device to safely remove the cilia from the eyelids.
Moreover, the Littauer Cilia Forcep features an ergonomically designed spring handle. As a result, surgeons can close the tips against each other with smooth clamping movements. Also, the handle has outer horizontal ridges that prevent slippage and fatigue during the procedure.
