The Lockhart-Mummery Fistula Probe offers a wide range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to investigate and diagnose colorectal fistula during exploration procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a solid tube that forms a curve at its distal portion. In addition, the device is available at different curve depths to accommodate a variety of fistulae. Also, the tip has a blunt design to prevent mucosal tearing and damage to local tissues.
Moreover, the Lockhart-Mummery Fistula Probe features a solid, plate handle that enhances gripping. Also, the shaft angles right after the plate to enhance the surgical sightlines.
