The Pratt Rectal Speculum offers a broad range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to broaden the lumen of the anal and rectal canals during explorative or surgical procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of concave blades designed to separate the rectum’s walls. In addition, the blunt edges of the blades minimize local damage and allow for slipping the device with ease.
Moreover, the Pratt Rectal Speculum features a screw mechanism for self-locking the jaws at specific widths. Also, the grip style handle includes outer ridges that prevent slippage and finger strain.
