The Wertheim Atrauma Vaginal Clamp offers a broad range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to assist surgeons during colporrhaphy and vaginal prolapse treatment.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of 90° angled jaws that enhance the view of the surgical field. In addition, the angled portion of the jaws has longitudinal serrations that ensure a firm gripping. Also, the edges are blunt and round to access the vagina without trauma.
Moreover, the Wertheim Atrauma Vaginal Clamp features a large ratchet system for self-locking the jaws. As a result, surgeons can apply different levels of pressure according to the clamped tissue.
