The Overholt-Martin Dissecting and Ligature Forcep offers a wide array of surgical benefits. Its principal use is to help surgeons to control haemostasis by guiding sutures and clamping arteries or veins.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of curved jaws with a tapered design to pass into narrow passages. In addition, the jaws are available in a variety of sizes to clamp small and large vessels.
Moreover, the Overholt-Martin Dissecting and Ligature Forcep features slightly curved shafts that enhance sightlines. Also, the shafts include a ratchet system for self-locking the jaws at different levels of pressure.
